Funny little side note: The preview I showed, had a different color confetti pack...yeah I left it sitting on the coffee table and my dogs Frank & Beans loved it so much they ripped it open and had confetti waiting for me all over my floor when I got home! Oops!

Carnival Chic Baby Shower {Party Submission: A Perfect Plan By Megan}

Recently ATE received an adorably detailed party submission from A Perfect Plan By Megan! I knew right away (before even checking out the photos) I wanted to feature Megan, just from the way she explained the party... with such excitement and passion! Then I checked out the photos, and her attention to detail sold me! I will let Megan tell you more...

Now let me start by saying a little bit about the mom to be Ashley.  She has AMAZING style and taste so I had to be sure this was an event to wow her.  She is an amazing person both inside and out and is always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend.  I wanted to be sure to throw her a shower that she deserved since she is always doing so much for others.
The shower theme was Carnival Chic!  I know…doesn't it just sound fun!  When I originally sat down and thought about the theme I knew I didn't want a traditional cookie cutter type baby shower….boring, right?  I love making events stand out in ways that are different than the norm and I knew Ashley would appreciate something with a little more flare.  I wanted a baby shower without all the diapers, bottles, etc., that you tend to see at EVERY shower.  This shower had to have style like the mother to be and I knew that a traditional baby shower wasn’t it.  So that is how the Carnival Chic baby shower theme was developed.  It was going to be something fun and fabulous that had tons of options for decorations and details, which are my favorite.
Majority of the decorations were DIY by the one and only APP! :)  I mean nothing is more fabulous than a super cute shower that you did the majority of the crafting.  I had so much fun crafting and decorating for this shower.

DIY Elements:  Pinwheels, Flat fan pinwheels, food labels, invitations, advice onsies, cupcake stands, silverware holders, French fry holders, beverage glasses, banners.

Craft Night Preview Part 2: DIY Dip Dye Ombre Bags & Tags

Last week I shared my Ombre Dip Dye Flannel which made me super obsessed with dying things! I had the idea to dye canvas bags to use for everyone craft supplies on craft night...I then thought oh how cool to also ombre the tags to label them...I wasn't sure if the dye would take on the paper, but sure enough it did, and turned out perfect! I think they are going to go great with my WRAPPED JARS!

 My head is about to explode from all the possibilities this brings when it comes to party invites, wedding décor, ahhhhh SO EXCITING! HA!

In about 15 minutes, I had dyed 12 bags, 12 tags, and a pair of white denim jeans! SO EASY!

 All I did was dip the bags/tags in the dye for a second and then held the bottom in for another 10 seconds to get the darker bottom. They took about 30 minutes to dry and that was it! I was so excited I was literally running around my house like a crazy for more things to dye! haha!

Seashell Cork Favor

Can you feel summer today?!? I can...and I AM READY. With summer, comes wedding season, and I personally can't wait! I have so many beautiful things happening this summer and I could not be more excited about it! With us living near the lake, and with the trend of destination weddings being so popular, I was trying to come up with an in-expensive, different, and fun favor idea that screamed "SUMMER"... Well...this seashell bottle stopper ends up being only .30 per favor.... Ummm, did you hear me... so CHEAP...and I think it's awesome! You could easily coordinate the colors to your wedding too!

(Would also make a great little hostess gift or shower favor!)

It's literally as easy as gluing the seashell on the cork; and I added a fun neon starfish to make more fun!

Shockingly we did not have a single bottle of wine in the house...so I used my olive oil as display:)...but it would also be adorable to give this with a good bottle of olive oil or balsamic as a gift! The possibilities are endless in this awesome DIY world we live in! (Haha, yes I'm aware I'm a dork!)
