5 New Wedding Trends We're LOVING...

I am not a 'tradition' kind of girl...who says traditional fits my style?!? It usually doesn't. I LOVE LOVE LOVE unique and fun out of the box ideas when it comes to weddings. Its 'Your' wedding day, why try and make it something its not, and something you are not. I whole heartedly feel that a wedding should be a perfect balance between the couples style, and not what everyone says it 'should be'. Break the mold, and be different. 

Here are our 5 favorite new wedding ideas that are currently trending for the unique brides...

1. MIS-MATCH BRIDESMAIDS: It doesn't get more on-trend than this! First off, I will be the first to tell you brides... strapless does NOT look good on everyone! Love the idea of having all bridesmaids pick something(with your direction) that looks great on them personally, all the while making your wedding look 'hip and cool'!

 2. MARQUEE LIGHTS: These lights speak for themselves! Where its the couples initials or outlines the bar area, personally I think these are a 'must-have'!

 3.UN-RULEY FLORALS: Probably the inner flower child in me, but I absolutely adore these 'unruly' flower arrangements! How gorgeous are these!!!

 4.DINNER BOXES: Ok, really, how adorable are these 'lunch boxes'. I am obsessed with the idea of this personalized dinner option!

 5.PATTERN PLAY: If you know me well, you know this is my favorite new trend! Love mixes bright colors and patterns to make a rad and visually appealing table!

Stacking Teacups: DIY Centerpiece

Last year at this time I was deep in the planning of the Dream Wedding...I recently was looking back at the details, and decided to share a few of the DIY's that I created! This particular one is perfect for the DIY bride that wants to create her own centerpieces with fresh flowers, antique bottles and jars; these teacups add such a cute and easy point of interest to your table! 

***extra little tip: if you need a table number idea, a little twine and a tag with your table number attached to the handle of the teacup would be adorable as well!

Soft, Fun, Flirty: Wedding Inspiration Board

I think this sunshine has me thinking spring today! Pheww, its been a while since we have seen the sun! Glad its back, even for just a short time! 

Lately I have been loving the color mint, and decide to make a fun spring inspiration board using it along with some accent colors of navy and pale pink! I typically put a neutral color in there somewhere, but I'm kind of loving these three colors together!

DIY JUMBO OMBRE HEART

Love this DIY! Perfect for Valentines Day and even more perfect for a wedding photo backdrop!!! Just saying;)! I finally decided to break out the real camera and use it more! Yay me!

7 Things to do with your wedding dress after your wedding THAT ROCK!

You wore the dress, you LOVED the dress...now what??!!? Take it from me, putting your dress in the back of some closet, just to 'save it'  is NOT the answer!! Save it for what... 

Why not do something awesome with it!!! I have scoured all my sources to find you the coolest ways to  re-purpose your dress!! 

1.   TRAVEL WITH IT: Spare yourself that extra outfit and pack your wedding dress instead!! Take fun photos on the beach or the ski slopesJ!

2.  MAKE A BABY OUTFIT: Take your dress to a seamstress and have them create a beautiful christening out fit or baby bonnet for your first born!

3.  DONATE IT: Possibly the coolest way I found was donating your dress to ‘BRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER’; send your dress in and help the fight against Breast Cancer.

4.  RE-STYLE IT: Make your dress new again! Dye it a new color, cut it off to cocktail length! Wear it again!

You send it off to her with a special note, and in return she will send you pictures of her on her wedding day, and then send it off to a new bride in need!

7. ROCK IT: Last but not least, those who just can’t let go and want to leave there dress exactly how it is… pick an anniversary, put that dress back on, and ROCK IT! 

Bachelorette Party Panty Game

This past weekend a group of 10 girls went to Put-In-Bay, Ohio to celebrate our beautiful friend Jessica who is getting married in just 2 1/2 weeks!!! We had SO MUCH FUN!!!! 

We all decided to bring Jessica a new pair of panties with a cute little note attached to them... when we got to the hotel I hung up a clothes line and everyone anonymously hung their pair for Jessica up! We then let Jessica back in the room and she was to decided who gave her what pair! It was hilarious and SO FUN, not to mention she acquired a whole new panty wardrobe!

{Key to Happiness} Rustic Handmade Wedding Invite By: Jessica

I have been dying to share these invites from one of my BFF's Jessica.... she made her own wedding invites, yes you read right...all 150 of them! If you would ask her if she would do it again, she would probably tell you NO; but boy was it worth it!! These are gorgeous, and fun, and SO different!!! 

We are heading to Put-In-Bay, OH this weekend to celebrate her last weekend as a single girl, so what better time to share!!! 3 weeks until the BIG DAY! Can't wait!

Fly Away With Me... {Engagement}

I could not be more excited to show this session!!!

I met Lindsey on my first Craft Night (she came all the way from Crown Point), and we immediately HIT IT OFF! When I found out she was having a destination wedding, I kind of freaked a little bit; because little did Lindsey know I had an inspiration board for this very session already made up MONTHS ago, just waiting for the perfect couple!!! 

So I had the couple, had the props(including the plane...haha, don't ask...just go with it)...all we needed was a photographer!!! Lindsey had LOVED Balee Images but Brandi had JUST posted a status about being booked, lucky for me(& Lindsey) she loves us and was totally in!!! 

LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE PHOTOS!!!! Lindsey you are just SO stunning, and John you are not so bad yourself!;)
